Our unique DR.SCHNELL CO₂ calculator enables us to calculate all product emissions in accordance with ISO 14067 Scope 1-3. For you, this means that we support you in achieving your personal emission targets through product range optimization, expert product selection, and complete documentation of your savings compared to the previous year.

ECOLUTION STICKS saved 2.13 million 0.5-liter bottles between 2019 and 2025.

Transparent ingredients

We are transparent—and want to remain so! To this end, we document our contributions in an annual environmental statement. We also support our customers with additional tools such as the DR.SCHNELL CO2 calculator, which ensures they are always informed about the CO2 emissions of the DR.SCHNELL products they purchase and can provide accurate information.

Education & social responsibility

We also want to convey to future generations why sustainable hygiene solutions and meaningful action can bring about enormous change. At the same time, we are very grateful—and support numerous associations and local institutions as donors or sponsors. Why? Because we take change seriously.

Packaging with a future

We think differently and better about packaging. That's why we have permanently increased the recycled content in many of our containers – from 30% to 50%. And we strive to achieve this for all packaging. Numerous DR.SCHNELL containers are already made from 100% recycled material. This is the future of packaging, and we are working towards it with complete dedication.

Our research and innovation work speaks for itself—and regularly receives awards. DR.SCHNELL receives national and international awards for sustainable product development, circular economy, and responsible corporate management. These awards confirm that genuine innovation has an impact—on people, the environment, and the future.

PURUS Innovation Award

The Purus Innovation Award (PIA) is a prestigious industry award presented during the CMS trade fair in Berlin. Our innovative medical cleaner MILIZID ONE won the PIA in the cleaning agents category in 2025. This is the second time in a row that DR.SCHNELL has won this coveted award.

EcoVadis

EcoVadis enables industry-specific comparisons of a company's sustainability. Since 2018, the certificate has attested to our excellent performance in the areas of environment, ethics, labor law, and procurement.

EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel is an environmental label awarded to products and services that meet high environmental standards throughout their entire life cycle. In addition to strict scientific criteria for rapid biodegradability, high packaging efficiency, and limited environmental toxicity, a performance test is also decisive. Our goal is to award the EU Ecolabel to every new product that falls into one of the categories offered.

EMAS/ISO 14001

We have been EMAS-certified since 1998 and review all environmentally relevant parameters in the company every year to identify opportunities for improvement. We publish the results annually in our environmental statement. EMAS certification is similar to ISO14001, which we also comply with, but goes much further and is one of the most demanding environmental management systems in Europe. It shows that we systematically record our environmental impact and continuously improve it.

Cleanright

Das Siegel der Charter for Sustainable Cleaning kennzeichnet Wasch- und Reinigungsmittel, die nach definierten Nachhaltigkeitskriterien umweltfreundlicher hergestellt werden. Es wird von der A.I.S.E. vergeben, dem europäischen Branchenverband der Seifen-, Wasch-, Reinigungs- und Pflegemittelhersteller. Wir sind seit 2007 Mitglied der Initiative und wurden erstmals im Jahr 2008 bewertet.

ISO 9001

Die ISO 9001 ist der weltweit wichtigste Standard für Qualitätsmanagementsysteme. Durch die Erfüllung dieser Norm können wir zeigen, dass wir unsere Prozesse systematisch steuern, Kundenanforderungen zuverlässig erfüllen und klare Verantwortlichkeiten über alle Themen im Unternehmen haben.
